6 Ways to Say 'Yes' to Weight Loss

This is a great article to serve as as a quick reminder to healthy eating. I need to rind myself of these daily. I'm excellent at rating breakfast, have improved with portion control over the years, and hope to continue to thrive with the others.

The Obligatory 'About Me' Post

For many years I have thought about starting a blog. As I sit here on this New Year's Day 2015, I'm happy I've finally made the decision to do so.

First things first, a little about my twenty something life. Currently I am employed as a Family Relations Investigator for my local divorce court conducting custody evaluations. I've been there since June 2013. While it may not always be the most rewarding job, I enjoy it and those I work with and hope that I am able to make the best decisions in the interest of children. I start by talking about my career because my profession is one of my top priorities and what I believe truly makes me, well, me. I am a Licensed Social Worker in Ohio. I graduated in 2010 with my undergraduate degree, and finished my Master of Social Work (MSW) in late 2014. My speciality focuses on children and that is truly where my heart and love falls. I am doing therapy in the evenings also, with children with mental health concerns four nights a week at a local private foster care agency I previously worked for.

When I'm not acting as a professional social worker I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my fiancé Jason. We also have two cats, Oliver and Oscar who are like our kids. Well, my kids at least. Ha. 😜

Back to the hopes for this blog. I have never been the tiny girl nor the biggest girl. I'm stuck somewhere in between. And while I'm fairly confident I have a strong desire to be healthy. This isn't always easy, but I hope to share tips and tricks that work for me regarding food habits and work outs, and yummy recipes I've made , typically from Pinterest.

I hope you enjoy this journey along with me!
